Whether you’re looking to secure our property for an intimate milestone celebration, a wellness retreat, or a slow weekend away with your favourite people, we’re here to help you bring it together. Just 2.5 hours from Sydney in the NSW Hinterland, Tara Hill is close enough for a quick escape, yet feels a world away.
We host a limited number of private stays and weddings each year to keep the property just as special as it’s always been to us, and we’d love to welcome your circle here too.

What is the max capacity of Tara Hill?
Tara Hill comfortably sleeps 16/18 and maximum capacity for events on site is 60 with accommodation available in nearby Dungog just 10 minutes from Tara Hill Farm.
What is the check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need an earlier check-in or late check-out, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Are pets allowed?
Whilst Tara Hill is a vast & beautiful property, it is not ideal for pets. We wouldn’t want them to wonder onto surrounding properties, or get lost chasing the natural wildlife. What’s more, future guests could have pet allergies. So to ensure the comfort & safety of guests & your pets, please arrange alternative pet care.
Is there a minimum night stay requirement?
We have a 2-night minimum stay policy. During peak seasons and holidays, the minimum stay may be extended. Please check our booking calendar for details.
What amenities are included?
Just like our family stays, you can pack light. All accommodation at Tara Hill features a fully equipped state of the art kitchen, luxury linens, bath essentials, auto pool cleaning, BBQ facilities, and a convertible tennis, pickle ball & basketball court. As well as an office & workshop space complete with a large screen TV & all the tech needed to deliver awesome presentations. And of course, WiFi across all the indoor spaces.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please ensure a minimum of 7 day notice on all stay cancellations. A 50% payment is required when booking. Please review our cancellation policy here. <link> As a family run business appreciate your understanding with regards to late cancellations.
If the unexpected arrises on our end and we need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund for your deposit. (?) However, Tara Hill Farm will not be liable for any other costs associated with your travel or stay. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect against cancellations, travel delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
Will there be other guests visiting the property during our stay if we only book one of the accommodation options?
No, as an exclusive sanctuary, we prioritise your privacy above all else. While multiple accommodation spaces exist on the property, we cater to guests seeking complete seclusion.
Is there parking available on-site?
Yes, there is ample free parking on-site. You can park directly on the property which is a secure gated entry point.
Do you offer early check-ins or late check-outs?
Check in time is subject to availability. We are more than happy to discuss your needs in advance. This is less likely in holiday timing or peak season.
Is smoking allowed?
As a natural beauty nestled in the NSW hinterland, smoking is a fire hazard & is prohibited within the property and on the grounds at all times.
